Neck Pain

Neck pain can arrive for a variety of reasons. The cause can be years of poor posture, an accident such as whiplash, the wear-and-tear of osteo-arthritis or it can be a consequence of some other injury elsewhere in the body.

Pain in the neck itself is sometimes associated with headaches, shoulder pain, and pain or heaviness in the arms and hands.

Our treatment is intended not only to reduce the immediate pain, but also to give you, the patient, control to minimise recurrences.

When establishing a diagnosis we look of course to the neck itself but also to the function of the body as a whole; the low back, hips and the rest of the body. Daily habits such as sleeping posture, work posture and sporting practices are also considered for possible improvement.

The key to success is an appropriate treatment plan for the individual patient.
