Pain Relief, Injury Prevention and Functional Performance

All athletes, amateur and professional want to enjoy their activities pain free, injury free and most want to perform as well as they can.

Whether you are a professional golfer or an amateur cyclist, we can all benefit from some professional attention.

How your chiropractor can help

Pain Relief

Quite often there is muscle pain following exercise. However not all pain is 'normal'. Sometimes the pain is clearly a problem that needs to be addressed. However, often 'small' irritations can lead to compensatory postures and movement patterns that can cause secondary problems.

With the appopriate care we can address such things as:

  • Excessive muscle strain

  • Stiff joints

  • Over-worked tendons and ligaments

  • Residual pain from old injuries

By addressing sometimes overlooked issues we can avoid further exacerbation and secondary problems.

Injury Prevention

With careful screening and testing we can identify weaknessess and potentially avoid future injury.

Amongst others these are examples tell-tale signs can be identified such as:

  • medial knee deviation

  • reduced over-head soulder mobility

  • lumbar hyperflexion/hyperextension

  • restricted hip extension

  • insufficient ankle flexion

  • superior breathing patterns

These and other problems can be addressed with the appropriate manual treatment and corrective exercises.

Functional Performance

Whether we just want to have fun at the weekend, or we want to win a medal, performance is key. A combination of the appropriate treatment and preparatory/rehabiliation exercise will help you on the way to achieving your goals.
